Top Awards Coordinator

The Top Awards Coordinator is a volunteer responsible for promoting the achievement of Top Awards within the County. The role supports leaders, promotes the top awards and informs young people about the opportunities available.

 

The post holder needs to motivate both volunteers and young people. Responsibilities in the Top Awards Coordinator role vary, but are likely to include:

 

  • Helping to make sure that the County programme promotes the achievement of Top Awards by young people.

  • Creating opportunities for young people to achieve Top Awards.

  • Supporting the Districts by bringing them together to support each other, share ideas, and work towards a shared vision.

  • Inspiring and motivating young people and their leaders in the County and make sure they know about all the different Awards opportunities available to them in all sections with particular attention to the Queen Scouts Award (QSA) (Explorer Scouts and Network) and Scouts of the World Award (SOWA) (Network)

  • Holding Districts, sections and leaders to account for achieving the maximum number of awards for their young people.
